Golden Sounds of the Silver Age

The title of the musical and poetic composition "Golden Sounds of the Silver Age" contains its meaning and content: admiration for the brilliant works of music and poetry and nostalgia for one of the brightest periods in the art of Russia. Pianist Basinia Shulman and actor Veniamin Smekhov are well-known performers in Russia. Their popularity is dictated not only by talent, but also by the taste with which they select the works performed on stage.

The Golden Sounds of the Silver Age program was born from a dream to convey to the listener the sounds of the works of composers and poets of the early twentieth century. In it, Scriabin coexists with Pasternak, Prokofiev - with Severyanin, Shostakovich - with Mayakovsky, here hope turns into disappointment, delight - into anxiety, a confident look into the future is replaced by sadness. The poetry of musical masterpieces and the music of verses become a mirror of the legendary time that has passed into the past.
