«Time of the Great»

Premiere of the cycle of programs «Time of the Great». Concert No. 1 «A consequence of one record», dedicated to the 120th anniversary of pianist Maria Yudina.

Leonid Kanevsky will help viewers plunge into the atmosphere of that difficult time, when sometimes only music and the fearlessness of prominent people helped to survive and gain moral guidelines.

Basinia Schulman and the symphony orchestra of the Novaya Opera Theater will perform Mozart’s famous Piano Concerto No. 23 - the one that is small
a brave woman played in Moscow back in 1944. Also, the concert will feature the music of two great composers - contemporaries of Yudina, who for many years determined the direction of Russian art. The vocal compositions of Dmitry Shostakovich, with whom Maria Veniaminovna was friendly, will be performed,
and fragments of theatrical works of Sergei Prokofiev. The concert is attended by the soloist of the Novaya Opera Theater Anastasia Bibicheva (mezzo-soprano) and the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Maxim Pasteur (tenor).
